More than half of the population in Georgia are vulnerable to premature death due to sustaining livelihood in areas where high levels of smog and other harmful pollutants makes the air hazardous to breathe. The population of Georgia is increasing rapidly and this put pressure for electricity which has resulted in creation of coal-fired plants. The dirty coal plants and the risky nuclear reactors supply electricity to Georgia.
Due to the air pollution the children of Georgia are suffering from various problems like asthma. The layer of smog in the air creates unpleasant sight. Human health is at risk due to the ozone layer which is responsible for respiratory ailments and weakens the immune system. In addition to it, it is also responsible for birth defects in children.
Global warming is a cause of concern for the entire nation and Georgians has more responsibility towards reducing it because the CO2 emissions of Georgia are superior to the emissions of most of the countries.
