Rhinos getting extinct due to poaching in Zimbabwe

Poachers are a threat to animal kingdom. In South Africa, the Kruger National park has lost approximately 200 rhinos due to the poaching practice. The animals are killed with no mercy and unless it is tackled this is going to continue for days to come.

There is a huge demand for rhino horn in Asia. The rhino horn is used for many purposes and mainly it is used for making traditional medicine. The poachers can go to any extent to reach their goal sometimes even hunting from helicopters. Automatic weapons are also used for the purpose of hunting. If it is not controlled the day is not far away when sub-species of rhino will be a thing of past.

As the poachers are shooting the Rhinos for the purpose of making money by selling the horn, this act is also ruining the development of economic opportunity in tourism. This is hampering the tourism industry a lot. The white rhino is particularly on the verge of extinction. The conservationists are trying their best to save the rare species. Necessary means and methods need to be implemented to crack down the supply and demand of the rhino horns in order to save the species.
