Czech Republic tackling drug problem

About half of the Czech teenagers have used illegal drugs in their life. Marijuana or hashish has been mostly used followed by hard drug such as cocaine or speed. Though various means and methods are being implemented to reduce the usage of drug among the teenagers with the effect that in many European countries drug use has been reduced however Czech is left behind to implement the same. It is further poignant to know that from the year 1995 drug usage has been increased in the country.

The use of hard core drugs such as heroin and cocaine has been declined since 1999.

However, the use of hard core drugs such as heroin and cocaine has been declined since 1999. The year 2003, has shown the decline of ‘dancing drug’ and ‘ecstasy’ drugs in huge numbers.

When grounds for the drug and alcohol abuse was investigated  it was found that unsatisfactory law enforcement, lack of control over the sale of alcohol, lack of restrictions on alcohol advertising have led to easy accessibility of alcohol. This has made a huge number of Czech Republic children dependent on alcohol.
